AN OASIS IN ROME?
|
It is hot in Rome in July, but is it possible to find a shady sanctuary with attractive gardens and a very large, inviting swimming pool?
Yes! You can find this wonderful oasis at the luxury Hotel Parco dei Principi, which sits on a hill overlooking the city and borders the Borghese Gardens on one side. It is just a short walk from the Rome zoo entrance also.
For those who want to be in the city center where they can walk to many of the attractions, this location would probably not appeal to them. However, for people who have visited Rome before and already done extensive sightseeing, this might be the perfect place to spend a night or two getting over jet lag before embarking on a cruise holiday.
It is also a popular place for families, especially at poolside during the summer. Sightseeing can be tiring for children, and a pool break keeps everyone happy.
Some of the beautifully decorated rooms and suites overlook the pool and have private balconies. The atmosphere is comfortably elegant, and the hotel personnel offer optimum service throughout.
Depending on traffic, a taxi would take about 10 or 15 minutes to reach the Via Veneto to begin your independent sightseeing. It is also possible to take the half day private city tour offered through the hotel with their car and driver at a reasonable rate or arrange to be picked up at the hotel for other private touring options.
Once you have stayed at the Hotel Parco dei Principi, you are likely to put it on your “favorites” list and want to return there again.

"Flying high over the peaks of Alaska in our 6 passenger plane to Punchbowl Glacier was thrilling. Once on the ground, we boarded our dog sled for an exciting race across the glacier pulled by our team of eager, trained dogs – thinking the Iditarod! And who didn’t love playing with the 3 little future Iditarod puppies afterwards?! It was a wonderful way to enjoy Alaska on our cruise, and we all loved it. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation that was perfect for all ages in our family group." Ann & Steve
